    Ingredients:

    • 1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
    • Spinach Dip (store-bought)
    • 1 egg (for egg wash)

    Instructions:

    Shape the Christmas Tree:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    • Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a piece of parchment paper into a rectangle (about 12 x 9 inches).
    • Cut the puff pastry sheet diagonally.
    • Then, using your hands, press on the sheet and spread out evenly to form an even triangle.
    Fill the Tree:
    • Spread the spinach dip mixture evenly along the middle of the tree shape, leaving a border of about 1 inch around the edges. This will be the center of your tree.
    • Gently place the second sheet of puff pastry over the filled pastry, aligning the edges.
    • Cut strips on each side of the tree from the top to the base, about 1-inch wide, making sure not to cut all the way through the center.
    Assemble the Tree:
    • Twist each strip of pastry with a slight upward motion to form the tree’s “branches.”
    Egg Wash:
    • In a small bowl, beat the egg with a tablespoon of water to create an egg wash. Brush the entire surface of the pastry tree with the egg wash to give it a golden shine when baked.
    Bake:
    • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
    Serve:
    • Let the spinach puff pastry tree cool for a few minutes before serving. Pull into pieces and enjoy as a warm appetizer or festive treat!

Tip: You can also make this with other savory fillings such as sautéed mushrooms, artichokes, or with sweet nutella to switch up the flavor. The puff pastry base makes this dish both elegant and easy to prepare!
